Frank E. Porter Dies.

Halifax Man Brought to Hospital Friday — Has Son Overseas.

Frank E. Porter, 65, of Halifax, died early this morning at Brattleboro Memorial hospital, where he was admitted Friday noon. He had been ill the past 10 weeks.

The body was removed to the Osborn funeral home in Newfane where funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will take place in Locust Ridge cemetery, Brattleboro.

He was born in Alstead, N. H., Oct 23, 1878, a son of Collis and Sophia (Palmer) Porter. He is survived by his wife, the former Phoebe Bashaw, three sons, Eli, in service overseas, Pvt. Harry Porter of Fort Strong, Mass., and Robert of Keene, N. H., and one daughter, Evelyn, wife of Frank Little of Dummerston.

Mr. Porter formerly lived in Townshend and engaged in farming there.
