He married Jane Morrison February 6, 1800, daughter of John Morrison and Jane Storey. She was born November 15, 1779 in Orange County, New York and died April 27, 1848 in Jackson, Washington County, New York.

George was buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Salem, Washington County, New York.
